I have the tst and the j hook on mine just watch every once and a while mine seems to come loose and when i romp on it it acts like it has a miss. If you own a 2001 2002 model year with the 24v cummins upgrading your j hook is a cheap and easy way to boost power. The higher volume of air will also help keep exhaust temperatures down. I think the vibration of the engine and the crappy roads around here jiggle mine loose because i have to go out and push on the hook and pierce the wire again.

Its also easier to take off the intake horn. Before the j hook on stage 3 i would reach 21psi of boost 1200 degrees egts. Here is a representation of the tag on onan qg 4000. An aftermarket hook will keep the wastegate closed longer which allows for higher boost.
